Winter 4-H Registration - Polk County NC

Registration for the Winter/Spring semester of Polk County 4-H started this week! We are looking forward to building life skills, sparking new interests, and growing our 4-H community.

This semester 4-Hers ages 5-18 can choose from:

  • Polk Poultry Program (Ages 9 & up) – This is the second-semester club designed to teach members how to care for and show poultry.
  • Cloverbud 4-H Discovery – Youth ages 5-8 will take part in hands-on activities designed to help build such skills as decision making, discovery, communication, self-confidence, and building relationships.
  • STEM Series – Breaking Bridges (Ages 9-14) – Learn how structures react to forces by designing, testing, and improving your own unique bridge design.
  • Teen Council (Ages 12 & up) – This 4-H teen leadership group will help teens develop leadership skills while helping to build a strong county 4-H program.
  • Clover Kitchen (Ages 9 & up) – Youth will learn about food preparation as well as food and kitchen safety, nutrition.
  • Sewing Program (Ages 9 & up)  – This program is open to boys AND girls and will teach beginning sewing skills through fun, hands-on projects.
  • Horse Club  – Horse Club leader Carla Raffield will hold an informational meeting on January 20 for families interested in potentially participating in this fun new offering in Polk County.

Note: North Carolina State Extension 4-H is currently requiring face coverings for all participants during indoor programming.

Just log in to your family 4-H profile, and click on “Events” and look for the Polk County Winter 2022 Sign Up.
