2021 NC State Presentation Winners From Polk County

(Updated: Aug. 12, 2021, 6:06 a.m.)

Four Polk County 4-H members participated in both the district and state level public speaking competition. The 4-H Presentation Program is a one-on-one mentoring program that guides students through the steps of choosing a topic, researching that topic, learning how to present that topic to an audience using demonstration and/or visual aids, and then illustrating their newfound skills of public speaking via a district and state level competition in various age groups and categories.

This year, due to the pandemic, all presentations were recorded as video and shared with district and state level judges. Each of the four Polk County presentation participants won placements at both the district and state levels! Winners were:
  • Natalie Klimstra, Silver Medallion, Age Category: 8-10, Presentation Category: Foods and Nutrition
  • Emily Stone, Silver Medallion, Age Category: 14--18, Presentation Category: Foods and Nutrition
  • Aaron Murdock, Bronze Medallion, Age Category: 11-13, Presentation Category: Forestry & Wildlife
  • Christopher Stone, Bronze Medallion, Age Category: 8-10, Presentation Category: Livestock & Dairy
We are so proud of our four participants! If you have a 4-Her who would benefit from and enjoy taking part in next year's Presentation Program, let us know and we will make sure you get notified when that kicks off in 2022.
