Volunteer with Polk County 4-HPolk County 4-H Needs Your Help!

Our youth in Polk County deserve the best. But did you ever think that the best might be YOU?!

We’d like to leverage your specific talents to benefit the lives of the 5-18 year olds in our area who participate with the Polk County 4-H program. Each year, hundreds of students in the county are served by 4-H initiatives both at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Polk County Center and in individual schools. However, Polk County has only one dedicated 4-H Agent, which means your time and help would be invaluable!

At the current time, we are especially looking for volunteers who would be willing to lead monthly or bi-monthly clubs any of the following fields of interest:

  • Beekeeping
  • Archery
  • Survival Skills
  • Rabbits
  • Horses
  • Poultry

All club leaders will receive plenty of training and support–we just need your willingness and expertise! 4-H volunteers must pass a mandatory background check prior to serving with youth. To let us know which area above you are interested in (or to suggest an area of interest), please fill out and submit the following inquiry. We look forward to having you on our team!
