4-H Summer Camp

All youth ages 5-18 are welcome - no prior 4-H experience needed.  4-H age is based on your child's age as of January 1, 2025.

To register follow these steps:

If your child has never participated in 4-H you must create an account.  Select "Polk County Members at Large."  Complete all of the information required by 4-H for each child.  Then wait for approval.  When you receive your approval, then you can register for the classes.  You will go back to 4-H online, click the Events tab, and choose:  "2025 Summer Sparks at Polk County 4-H" to view and sign up for classes.  If your child has participated in 4-H but not since January of 2025, you will need re-enroll on 4-H online and review/update your child's information.  Then you will wait for an approval.  When you receive approval, you can go back to 4-H online and select "2025 Summer Sparks at Polk County 4-H" to view and sign up for the classes.  For the children who are currently active in Polk County 4-H, go to the "Events" tab to register.

Textile Treasures

Clover Kitchen: Beginner Bootcamp

Explore the outdoors and learn about land care, from water testing to composting and park clean-ups. Hands-on eco-adventures await!

Cloverbud Camp


  • Date: June 24–25
  • Ages: 5–8
  • Cost: $5
  • Session A: 9 AM – 12 PM
  • Session B: 2 PM – 5 PM
Perfect for our youngest 4-H’ers! Hatch chicks, build rockets, and enjoy water activities. Packed with fun, learning, and discovery.

Roots and Routes

Tour three amazing local farms and learn why agriculture is the heart of our community. A great ag tourism adventure!

4-H Hooves & Halters


  • Date: June 15–17
  • Time: 9 AM – 12 PM
  • Ages: 10 & up
  • Cost: No cost
Hands-on experiences with livestock, small animals, and equine care. Learn about showmanship, livestock judging, and ag careers.
