We are offering the 4H classes listed below beginning January 9th, 2023. Your child must be registered on 4HOnline before they can participate. Please remember classes fill on a first come first serve basis. You will notice that there are no fees for any of these classes, we do however ask that if you sign up, that you make the commitment to stick it out for the entire winter program. If you have questions about registration please call Helen at (828) 894-8218.

Sewing Classes – We are bringing back the sewing program where students make their own garment. Classes will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting January 17 through March 7th from 3:30 – 5:00. Students need to bring material to the class. All other supplies will be provided. We will have an orientation meeting prior to the first class to go over the details. For ages 9 & up.

Cloverbud Discovery – Cloverbuds (5-8 yr. olds) will meet over the winter and we are looking for additional students. In this program youth discover the world around them in a fun, hands on learning environment. We will meet once a month on Mondays:  1/23, 2/20, 3/27, 4/24, 5/22 from 3:30 to 5:00.

Clover Kitchen – The kids cooking program will meet monthly through the winter, for ages 9 and up, building on basic cooking skills. We will meet on the second Monday of each month through May from 3:30 to 5:30.

Teen Council – the 4H Teen Council is for youth 12-18. This year they explored the election process and the jobs of the different candidates. They elected club officers, discussed goal setting and completed a community service project. We are looking for more teens to participate. The winter schedule promises to be just as interesting. Come join us on the 3rd Friday of each month through May from 3:30 to 5:00.

Rabbit Club – We are accepting new members ages 8 and up. Members do not need to own their own rabbits to participate in our club. We have bred our two Holland Lop rabbits, King and Queen, and we just had four kits (which is the term for baby rabbits). The youth will learn to show these rabbits in the spring. The class meets on the following days:  1/30, 2/27, 3/27, 4/17, 5/15 from 3:45 to 4:45.
