Pesticide Recertification Seminar - Polk County - August 31st

The N.C. Cooperative Extension – Polk County Center has a pesticide recertification training scheduled for Thursday, August 31st from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm.  The training will be held at the extension office located at 79 Carmel Lane, Columbus, NC.  This class will provide 4 hours of recertification credits in the following categories:  A, L, N, O. D and X.  Private applicator training will provide 2 hours of V credit.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED - To register call (828) 894-8218.  There is no fee for this class.

9:00 am - Plant Health - Keeping plants healthy to reduce pesticide use - Steve Pettis (NCSU Ext.)

10:00 am - Keeping invasive species away - Scott Welborn - (NSCU Ext.)

11:00 am - Label time - Jordan McCury - (NCDACS)

12:00 pm - Lunch from Mountain View BBQ - Provided by Southern Ag at no cost to participants - Door prize drawings

12:30 pm to 2:30 pm - Private applicator safety training - 2 hours of V credits
