Who’s ready for 4-H camp in Summer 2022?

We are offering two camping weeks next summer:

July 10-15 at Millstone 4-H Camp near Ellerbe, NC

July 31-August 5 at the Eastern 4-H Center near Columbia, NC

Transportation will be provided for campers attending either of the weeks listed above. Youth may attend other weeks at our 4-H rate, but transportation will not be provided by Caldwell County 4-H. It will be up to individual families to coordinate travel arrangements.

Caldwell County 4-H has helped youth attend residential camp for many years, and we hear so many positive responses from campers about how their camping experiences positively impacted them. These camps offer a variety of activities such as kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, learning about nature, talent shows, campfires, archery and shooting sports and much more! Alongside well-trained counselors and program instructors, every camper will have memories and friendships that last a lifetime.

By the numbers

Camp is 6 days and 5 nights, and it is open to youth who are ages 8-14 at the time of camp.

Camp costs $500, but each Caldwell County camper who registers through the Extension center will receive one $250 campership per summer to use toward this cost. There are also state-awarded camperships available. Ask Sarah Kocher if your child qualifies and how to apply.

Youth must register through Caldwell County 4-H for camp to be eligible for the local campership.

A non-refundable $50 deposit secures a youth camping spot. This should be paid to “Caldwell County 4-H” at 120 Hospital Ave., Suite 1, Lenoir, NC 28645. Please write your preferred camping dates in the memo. If we do not have your email address already, please provide it at the time of the deposit, so we can stay in touch and confirm your camping details.
