North Carolina residents can enjoy a one-of-a-kind health fair from the comfort of their homes when Cooperative Extension at North Carolina A&T State University presents Passport to Health, a free online experience to improve physical, mental, and financial well-being.

Passport to Health, presented by Cooperative Extension at N.C. A&T State University’s Try Healthy program will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 25, 2021. Participants will have the chance to learn about a wide range of health topics, connect to community resources, browse virtual vendor booths, have their questions answered by experts, participate in food and fitness demonstrations, and enjoy a virtual scavenger hunt. All participants will receive a Passport to Health “swag bag” filled with healthy gifts, recipes, and tips on staying healthy and fit.

“We’ve all been through a lot since the start of the pandemic, and that can take a toll on our physical and mental health,” said Shewana Hairston McSwain,  Nutrition Outreach Coordinator with Cooperative Extension at N.C. A&T State University. “Passport to Health is a way for people to come together, learn how to improve their health and fitness, and simply celebrate healthy lifestyles and feel good about themselves.”

All participants must register for the event at the Passport to Health website. The website includes a registration form and a login link to be used on the day of the event. For additional information, including information for organizations that want to participate as virtual vendors, call 336-285-4677 or send email to Kelsey Armstrong at kamerrit@ncat.edu.
