North Carolina 4-H offers a fantastic opportunity for teen 4-H members to learn about their state and local governments through 4-H Citizenship NC Focus. This event will take place VIRTUALLY June 15-17, 2020.  Only 300 North Carolina 4-H youth between the ages of 14 and 18 will be selected to participate. This opportunity is open to new 4-H members as well as those who may have participated previously.

What Is This All About?

Workshops, panel discussions, distinguished speakers, and open discussion will help you discover how government impacts your everyday life, and how you can impact government in return. You will learn about state government, learn about working with public officials, and hear from prominent North Carolina officials and legislators.

This year, Citizenship North Carolina Focus will focus on advocacy and telling your story, local and state government, and action planning. If a youth delegate participates fully in this conference (attending all sessions as well as completing the final project) they will receive a t-shirt (youth designed and selected) as well as a certificate.
