4-H in Your Backyard - Reptiles & Amphibians

Last week’s newsletter let us explore the insects creeping around our backyards. So this week, we’ll take a closer look at some of the animals that are actually grateful to have those insects as a food supply! This week’s issue gives your 4-Her a chance to do some true research on the reptiles and amphibians that live in our area. They can even upload pictures of the ones they find to help us populate a custom Polk County Herp map!
With plenty of hands-on activities, checklists, and fun facts to guide you, your whole family can join in on the “herp hunt.” Let’s find out what’s slithering, hopping, and creeping around your Polk County backyard!

You can view the newsletters weekly here on our website, or go ahead and subscribe to our newsletter list to receive them automatically in your email inbox each week.
