Home & Family The foundation of our society is the family. Many of Extension's programs provide families with research-based answers to their day-to-day challenges. Extension is ready with answers on controlling household insects, protecting well-water, managing a family budget, helping families improve their eating habits, or dealing with the special concerns related to early childhood, parenting, or aging. Programming by Polk County Extension Agents is based in great measure on client requests and on issues identified by volunteers who identify the needs of the citizens. Extension Agents are available to present programs to groups and to answer questions on an individual basis. News
